Laboratory Technician,Research and Development (R&D) Laboratory

Position Description:

We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our growing Research and Development (R&D) Laboratory team. Under the supervision of the R&D Senior Staff Scientist you will be responsible for performing laboratory work, including ELISPOT and FluoroSpot assays, and assisting in the development and/or testing of related B cell products. Under the supervision of the R&D Senior Staff Scientist, you will:
• Plan and perform assays
• Document laboratory procedures
• Perform required data analysis supporting development and testing of B cell ELISPOT or FluoroSpot kits and associated products
• Provide updates on ongoing projects with an emphasis on deliverables and deadlines
• Be responsible for inventory tracking and timely ordering of required materials
• Assist in general maintenance of common equipment and overall cleanliness of the laboratory

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science
  • Minimum two years’ laboratory experience, including in vitro culture of primary lymphocytes required
  • Knowledge of the ELISPOT/FluoroSpot technique and cellular immunology strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and high-level of attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, and the ability to present technical findings internally and to key stakeholders
  • Excellent time management and track record of meeting project deadlines and deliverables.

Quality Assurance Specialist, Department of Regulatory Affairs & Quality Assurance

Position Description:

This position provides immediate support to the Regulatory Affairs/Quality Assurance (RAQA) Director to help ensure implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the quality management system. Under the supervision of the RAQA Director, you will:

  • Write and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Support ongoing process improvement endeavors
  • Maintain and ensure applicable regulatory and internal QMS compliance for staff training/personnel files, master schedule, deviation trending/tracking, etc.
  • Perform in-phase inspections for clinical/nonclinical laboratory studies or tests, writing inspection reports, following up on observations/CAPAs
  • Provide QA support for internal and sponsored projects including reviewing protocols and reports
  • Work collaboratively with staff responding to and resolving deviations and incidents
  • Follow through on corrective and preventative actions from deviations and audit observations
  • Maintain databases for investigations, audit observations and CAPA
  • Assist clients and regulatory agencies with audits, vendor questionnaires, addressing audit reports and following up on observations/CAPA
  • Position Requirements:

    • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree a plus
    • At least two years’ training and/or experience in a technical support environment
    • Experience interacting directly and frequently with customers
    • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced, demanding, and rewarding environment
    • Willingness and ability to travel
    • Position Qualifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the Life Science field • RQAP and/or ASQ certification preferred • Minimum two years’ of related experience in Quality Assurance • Prior audit and inspection experience required • In depth experience in laboratory regulatory requirements and industry standards required • Knowledge of ICH E6 (R2) GCP Clinical Research Trials design and QAU function preferred • Ability to prioritize and perform work while adhering to deadlines • Strong interpersonal skills necessary to work with multifunctional teams • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills • Proven ability to work well in a team environment to consistently meet deadlines • Must be proficient in use of Microsoft Office particularly Excel spreadsheets

    Laboratory Assistant (Contract Research Laboratory)

    Position Description:

    We are seeking a Laboratory Assistant for our Contract Research Laboratory who will perform immunology testing of client specimens collected from both pre-clinical and clinical studies using the following test methods: ELISPOT, ELISA, flow cytometry, etc. You will help support our quality improvement projects in conjunction with QA, support our quality system by data quality control, communicate with fellow laboratory personnel, maintain laboratory equipment, write reports, etc. All work is performed according to general laboratory safety standards, internal standard operating procedures (SOPs), client protocols, and applicable international, federal and state regulations.

    Position Qualifications:

    • Bachelor of Science degree
    • Proficiency in cell culture and sterile technique desirable
    • Preferably at least one year’s experience within a GLP/GCP compliant laboratory
    • Experience in T cell immunology using ELISPOT, ELISA and flow cytometry is preferred, but not required
