Senior Staff Scientist (R&D) Laboratory)

Position Description:

We are a well-established market leader in the immune monitoring field. We are seeking a collaborative and team-oriented postdoctoral scholar with demonstrated expertise in the T cell immune monitoring field to join our Research and Development (R&D) Laboratory as a Senior Staff Scientist. You will be expected to independently develop and drive progression of research initiatives employing the ImmunoSpot® platform for the assessment of T cell immunity. As the Senior Staff Scientist, you will work closely with the R&D and executive teams, and will be responsible for:

  • Designing, performing and advancing research initiatives while employing the ImmunoSpot® (ELISPOT/FluoroSpot) platform for T cell immune monitoring
  • Setting up experiments and assay systems through reading literature and published protocols
  • Contributing to scientific customer support
  • Presenting at conferences/meetings and writing papers

Position Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Immunology or related Life Science, with 3 plus years of postdoctoral training
  • Prior experience with T cell ELISPOT and multi-parametic flow cytometry (required)
  • Proven track record of publications in the T cell immune monitoring field (required)
  • Experience mentoring Junior Scientists (preferred)

  • Providing excellent customer service by following through with prompt solutions to all customer inquiries
  • Traveling offsite for demos, sales/service visits, conference/exhibition attendance, installations/trainings, and wet labs
  • Effectively working and communicating with other departments such as technical support, marketing, customer service, and business operations
  • Rigorously documenting communications and keeping up to date the customer relationship management (CRM) database

Position Qualifications:

Quality Assurance Specialist (Department of Regulatory Affairs & Quality Assurance)

Position Description:

This position provides immediate support to the Regulatory Affairs/Quality Assurance (RAQA) team to help ensure implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the quality management system. Under the supervision of the RAQA Director, you will:

  • Write and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Support ongoing process improvement endeavors
  • Maintain and ensure applicable regulatory and internal QMS compliance for staff training/personnel files, master schedule, deviation trending/tracking, etc.
  • Perform in-phase inspections for clinical/nonclinical laboratory studies or tests, writing inspection reports, following up on observations/CAPAs
  • Provide QA support for internal and sponsored projects including reviewing protocols and reports
  • Work collaboratively with staff responding to and resolving deviations and incidents
  • Follow through on corrective and preventative actions from deviations and audit observations
  • Maintain databases for investigations, audit observations and CAPA
  • Assist clients and regulatory agencies with audits, vendor questionnaires, addressing audit reports and following up on observations/CAPA

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the Life Science field
  • RQAP and/or ASQ certification preferred
  • Minimum two years of related experience in Quality Assurance
  • Prior audit and inspection experience required
  • In depth experience in laboratory regulatory requirements and industry standards required
  • Knowledge of ICH E6 (R2) GCP Clinical Research Trials design and QAU function preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and perform work while adhering to deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills necessary to work with multifunctional teams
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work well in a team environment to consistently meet deadlines

Administrative Coordinator (Contract Research Laboratory)

Position Description:

Under the supervision of the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) or designee, the Administrative Coordinator will primarily be responsible for assisting Laboratory Management with invoicing, contract processing, data input, execution and administration. The ideal candidate will:

  • Assist CSO or designee in all aspects of contract administration ensuring attention to detail and accuracy
  • Gather, organize and synthesize pertinent information from documents to prepare invoicing, billing for multi-tiered contracts
  • Track status of contract invoicing, budget and billing through completion
  • Ensure that contract correspondence, documentation, and records are being prepared accurately and are current
  • File and maintain all temporary and final files (both electronic and hard copies)
  • Attend and participate in laboratory staff meetings and client conference calls
  • Coordinate with Accounting Department to facilitate collection efforts
  • Provide general administrative support as needed

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Excellent business and financial acumen
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • 2-4 years contract administration experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks a plus
  • Superior communication (written and oral) and proofreading skills
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize work, take on new projects and multi-task in a fast-paced setting

Regulatory Affairs/Quality Assurance Director (Department of Regulatory Affairs & Quality Assurance)

Position Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to join our team as our Regulatory Affairs/Quality Assurance (RA/QA) Director. In this role you will be responsible for the maintenance and continuous improvement of our quality management system. You should possess strong problem-solving skills, project management skills, and the ability to work well with our employees and clients. Under the supervision of senior management, you will:

  • Oversee and provide guidance of ongoing process improvement endeavors
  • Ensure applicable regulatory, and internal QMS and SOP compliance
  • Write Standard Operating Procedures
  • Establish quality metrics and corporate KPI's and report to senior management
  • Review and approval of clinical/nonclinical laboratory studies or tests protocols and reports
  • Provide approval of inspection reports and observation/deviation trend analysis
  • Provide deviation and incident management oversight and recommendation for remediation
  • Review and approve Sponsor audit reports and follow up responses
  • Be the company representative for certifying body and/or regulatory agency audits and inspections
  • Train new employees and staff annually on applicable regulations and company quality assurance program
  • Perform vendor audits as necessary to ensure adequate materials
  • Provide oversight of equipment validations and internal qualification tests

Position Qualifications:

  • A BS or MS degree in Life Science field and five (5) years of related experience in Quality Assurance and/or Regulatory Affairs (required)
  • RQAP and/or ASQ certification (preferred)
  • Minimum (3) years of regulatory affairs/quality assurance experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and or related industry.
  • Strong interpersonal skills necessary to work with multifunctional teams
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work well in a team environment to consistently meet deadlines
  • Must be proficient in use of Microsoft Office particularly Excel spreadsheets
